AT ITS PLACE

 

This morning I shall give you a small breakfast, so that you can work well.

 

As God created the world, people inhabited the Earth and were happy, but they did not know what to do. Then, people were less than today. In order to assign to each man proper work, God sent an Angel to Earth with a big pouch full of instructions, so that each man would know what to do. Each instruction was put in a special envelope. When it reached the Earth, the Angel saw, that a beautiful young lady was bathing in a lake. It stared at her and lost hold of the pouch. The pouch opened and the envelopes scattered on the ground. As they saw this, people ran to the envelopes and snatched them up. Each man took one of them at random – not the one God determined. As a result of this, great discord began among people – it still continues up to this day. So, the disagreement in the world is due to the mistake of the Angel that stared at the beautiful woman and could not fulfil its task.

 

The Angel returned to God with an unfinished task. God asked it how it solved its task – the Angel said that it saw the beautiful daughter of the king with whom he fell in love. God sent it back to Earth, so that it could learn its lesson, but the Angel has not returned there yet. This Angel is within all the people, learning the task of disobedience. The Angel is displeased from its situation, but [M1] suffers. Unless it gathers all the envelopes with their valuable content and puts them in their appropriate places, it will not return to the sky. So, each man was assigned a task – to put each thing in its proper place. The Angel should go among the people and look for the envelopes and transfer each envelope to its owner. When will the Angel return to its homeland? When the new age comes. The new age will release it.

 

Today the king’s daughter fascinates everyone. Who is the king’s daughter, though? She is the world with all its manifestations. It is not bad for man to be fascinated, but not before he fulfils his task. The Angel had to first perform its mission for which it has descended to Earth. After that, it could keep staring and being fascinated as much as it liked.

 

Contemporary man faced with a new age[M2] , for which he should be ready. In order to get ready for the new culture, he has to develop within himself a sense of evaluation of things. There are four things that man should value: the goods of his spirit, soul, mind, and heart. As long as he appreciates these things, he can serve God with all his mind, heart, soul, and force. If he wants to serve God, man should put all his fingers into operation. The forefinger represents the human Spirit, the middle finger – the human soul, the ring finger – the human mind, and the little finger – the human heart. The big finger, the thumb, represents the Divine World – the World of Love. If the four fingers of a man do not get together with the thumb in a complete whole – they cannot use their strength. The human Spirit, soul, mind, and heart should draw force from the Divine World, from the World of Love. That is why, whenever you feel weak, put your thumb against each of your fingers one by one and say to yourself: I will work for God with my Spirit, soul, mind, and heart.

 

Within the human fingers lie forces that man does not appreciate. The human bears great fortunes within himself, but as he cannot use them, he passes for a poor man. For the creation of the thumb – the finger of one of the great deities from the past – Jupiter, thousands of mighty Spirits have worked. For the creation of the middle finger – the finger of the human conscience and fairness - thousands of Elevated Beings have worked. This finger is called the finger of Saturn. For the creation of the ring finger – the finger of the Sun - thousands of elevated minds have worked. This finger shows the human striving towards the elevated and beautiful, towards the music, art, and science. For the creation of the little finger thousands of elevated hearts have worked. This finger is called the finger of Mercury, a secretary of the Deities. If you would like to solve your material problems, turn to your little finger for advice. This finger deals with the material problems in the world.

 

Consequently, having treasures, do not expect people to teach you how to use them – harness yourself to work instead, so that you can put into practice all that has been granted to you. If you do not work on your own, you will make the mistake, made by a king of olden times. This king had three good-quality cherry-trees in his garden. The cherry-trees gave fruits abundantly, so the king decided to send a basket full of his cherries to his neighbour and greet him. He ordered one of his servants to pick some of the biggest cherries and bring them to his neighbour. The servant obeyed the order of his master and went to the neighbouring kingdom. Before he got there, the servant ate two or three cherries now and then, to refresh himself. Until he reached the king, only three cherries were left in the basket. He ate two of them, so just one remained. As he offered this last cherry to the king, the latter asked him how it should be eaten. So, the servant showed him how it should be eaten and returned it to his master. What was to be done by the king who decided to send his cherries to his neighbour, so that the latter can taste them?
