Special breathing exercises should be done three times a day  -  morning, noon and evening. For the beginner, it is good to begin with six exercises three times a day. Later he can increase the number of breaths. It is also advisable to stop for a minute during the day and take one deep breath. In this way the breathing process becomes gradually more regular, deep and rhythmical. Don't neglect the morning hours  -  at the rising of the sun at dawn there is a new flow of prana. In the summer time the breathing exercises are better done in the open air and in the fall and winter it is better in a well-ventilated room with an open window. This should also be done before eating. If you are unable to do them until after eating, wait an hour or two.
