PREPARATORY EXERCISES FOR DEEP,


RHYTHMICAL BREATHING


 


When a you begin doing systematic exercises of deep, rhythmical breathing it is advisable to do several preparatory breathing exercises. For example:


 


Take one deep breath and then exhale while pronouncing a short sentence. In the beginning, start with a very short sentence, but gradually you can increase it. After several deep breaths, you should pronounce parts of the whole sentence without taking air in between.


 


One practical rule: It is good before beginning breathing exercises for a man to take a deep breath while relaxing all his organs, including his arms, hands and legs. This facilitates the following breathing exercises.
