Methods for Fortifying Spring Breathing


 


Through all seasons you should practice deep breathing, but especially in the springtime when the air is rich with prana or vital energy. At this time of the year if you miss the flow of prana it cannot be recaptured in other seasons. Of the four seasons, the peak of the flow is in the spring, in the morning time. To apply deep breathing, use the early morning hours when the air is full of prana. As I observe the walking pace of young people, I see they seem prematurely old because they don't apply correct breathing. While man is on this earth he has to think feel, move and act with deep breathing. As soon as spring arrives, he has to go out and take a walk every morning as early as possible. In fresh air, far away from the city's dust and smog, he should devote one hour of full breathing and exercise and gymnastics before resuming his daily work It is better to do this out-of-doors than in your room. First prepare your body, then begin your work.


 


If you want to cure yourself in a natural way you have to use the months of April, May and June when Nature is rich in vital energy. When people don't use this natural way of curing themselves, they fall down in a situation like this they walk through water, but they are thirsty. If man knew how to use the energy of Nature, he could save himself from suffering. Wherever he goes he will bring something to refresh others and into whatever home he goes they will wait for him with impatience and with joy. Man must absorb magnetic energy from Nature and give it to his neighbors.


 


Man breathes not only through his lungs, but through his skin. Therefore it is important that his pores be open. This is possible through bathing. (Summertime you can use the sun's water at noontime.) This can also be done through drinking boiled water. Here is what the Master gives. The first thing a disciple must do is to open his pores. This can be done by drinking hot water, causing him to perspire. One whose pores of the skin are open feels a very pleasant coolness.


 


A magic power is hidden in the water and without it no culture can exist. Contemporary people drink water as their grandparents did. What is the meaning of drinking water for the whole organism? When we drink boiled water the residues in the organism are dissolved and a process of purification occurs. Second, water is a good channel of magnetism, about which contemporary man knows nothing. To improve the digestive system and to open the pores, it is good for you in the spring to perspire freely twice a week by drinking several cups of hot water in which you have put several drops of lemon juice. As you perspire well, take a wet towel and rub the body, then pat yourself with a dry towel and dress with clean clothes. Then drink another cup of hot water to replace the heat lost during perspiration.
